Was district attorney general at one time. Sister of Augusta Lockridge, ex-sister in-law of Lionel Lockridge. Has been falling in love with the wrong kind of men. For example Jack Lee who was intrested also in her sister Augusta and David Laurent (husband of late Madeline Capwell, who`s father is C.C`s brother Grant) who she defended at the murder trial (he was accused for killing his wife) and they had an affair and who tricked her and was cheatting her. Made an agreement with Mason Capwell for a child that they would only make it and then have no ties after that. He would not have any claim to the child. She didn`t expect for her to fall in love with him. She didn`t tell Mason that she was pregnant because Mason had broken of the agreement because he was concentrating on Victoria Capwell. Mason was present with her when she delivered the child at the hospital. She told him that she had fallen in love with him at a hotell room on the same night that Chip was born (Julia and Mason wereout of town), she did deny that she would still be in love with him.When Mason was held hostage by the indian who worked for Elena Nikolas/Eleanor Norris she has fallen in love with him again. Now Tori and Julia are friends, and she even helped and defended her with the Paul Marshall case. Julia and Cruz defended Cruz in the case of murder of Elena Nikolas. Then Mason and Julia slept together when Keith left then in the middle of the road when they were looking after Cruz who had escaped prison. Then they kept it a secret and when Julia heard Tori saying to Mel Stock at the rehab clinic (They were still friends and Julia was the only one who knew that Tori was at this clinic) that she was thinking of divorsing Mason she went straight to Mason and when Mason found out about it from Julia he was very angry. They got together even before the
divorse and Mason`s lawyer said that Mason should not live with Julia before the divorce. Tori gave finally the divorce after Mason had a accident at a cabin and snow fell down from the roof and he was unconcious for a while. Everyone now knows that Samantha is Masons and she got mad at Mason for not telling about Chip but she got over it. Julia was assigned to investigate Keith Timmons. Julia has been wanting to get married with Mason but Mason is very sceared to end up like his parents. Julia had many fights about Mason`s drinking problems and not telling her about his problems. Julia got engaged to Mason in a beautiful diner but only after he was several hours late and Julia was going to leave. Mason was infact traped in an elevator. Julia was angry when she heard that Mason was not Chip`s
father. Julia had her hands full with the fact that somebody is trying to frame Mason for the death of Mark McCormick. She was destroyed and didn�t believe at first that Mason had died. She went undercover to the convent where Mason was working undercover to get the thruth about Mark McCormcick�s death. There she met Father Michael who was one of her
suspects. She used the name Sister Rebecca while there. Father Michael found out that she was Julia, Mason�s fianc� and didn�t want to tell anything to her but then they both protected Sister Sarah cause Michael thought it was her cause she was there with the body alone. Later it came out that it was Sister Agatha who then tried to kill Julia for breaking up her "family". Michael got there in time.
later when Michael told that Mason wasn�t dead he and Julia went to look for Mason and also were slowed down by Keith and Gina who wanted the ransom money. Gina and Keith found Mason first and Julia was in believing that the person who looked like Mason in the newspaper wasn�t Mason. Michael was there for her then and he began falling for her but denying it to himself.
Then suddenly Mason came back and Julia was happy, but it didn�t last for long when Gina drugged him and got Mason to become Sonny Sprockett again and told him to act like Mason so that Keith, Gina and Sonny would get all of C.C.�s money. Noone knew about Mason�s desorder but thought Mason was having alcohol problems. C.C and Mason got close again and Julia was planning for the wedding which Mason wasn�t so happy about. Julia began spending more and more
time with Michael. She became the district attorney when Keith split town. She tried to get also Gina to jail but Mason as Sonny got rid of the evidence. Julia was fighting with Mason about him seing too much of Gina and one day before the wedding she saw Gina and Mason making love and at the wedding when Michael, who was performing the ceremony (which he wasn�t so keen on)(Mason and Michael don�t like eachother), Julia called of the wedding. Then she didn�t
want Mason to see her or Samantha. Just a short awhile after Julia was kiddnapped by the videorapist and kept hostage and making her look at the rape video�s, the rapist told that he had Samantha but infact the rapist had left Samantha with Michael and Michael took her to Heather and Scott and was instructed not to tell anyone. Michael then saved her in the last minute and then Mason heard about it on the radio while dancing with Gina at the Lockridge house to
country music and he rushed over. Michael and Julia threw him out. Then Julia and Michael kissed and after that Michael almost left while saying he was sorry but he came back and carried her to the bedroom and they made love all night. Mason went back later and saw them kissing before the fire and didn�t go in but he was upset. Michael and Julia spent the whole night together but the next morning Michael said that will go on with our lives but both of them are having a
hard time doing that. Augusta moved to Julia�s which she doesn�t like cause Julia wants to be alone. Julia hasn�t told anyone about the lovemaking but Heather while talking at the convent with Michael could see that something is going on. Julia just threw herself back to work and must now decide if procecude Scott�s case against CC Capwell for the murders of the oilrig men including Scott�s father. Julia is also working to put the rapist in jail.

She was born and raised in Skokie. She began acting at age 12 and made her professional debut while in high school with the Goodman Theatrein Chicago in the musical "Guys and Dolls". She remained active during her high school days by performing in many other theatre productions while also fulfilling her obligations as an honors student, classpresident and homecoming queen. After graduating in 1976, she moved toNew York where she converted a two-day stint on the daytime series"One Life to Live" into a one-year contract playing the villainess Beverly Wilkes. For a change of pace, she then moved to Los Angeles where she was cast in the "Little House on the Prairie." She has also appeared in "Magnum P.I.", "Simon & Simon", "Quincy", "Knight Rider","Murder, She Wrote", as well as television movies that included "Kids Don`t Tell" and "Obsessed With A Married Man". She has formed the ProChoice Organisation "Daytime For Choice" speaking with her father, a recovering alcoholic, about the family dynamics envolving from this disease as well as serving as the spokesperson for the National VictimCenter. She can be seen in "General Hospital" as Alexis Davis. Nancy appeared in "Melrose Place" as Denise Fielding, Matt Fielding`s sister.
